The word confidence is used as an umbrella term for something that’s holding us back when we can’t quite figure out what it is. Maybe one or more of the below phrases resonates with you:
I wish I had more confidence
I’m such a people pleaser
I procrastinate all the time
I’m terrible at overthinking
I’ve got so much going on in my head, I can’t make sense of it
All these things have a negative impact on our confidence levels.
It turns out confidence can actually be genetic and in our DNA, for some of us it’s thought to be anywhere between 25% – 50%.
Research over the years has also revealed that confidence genes can be manipulated and influenced over time – great news for those of us who don’t have so much of it!
Confidence means different things to different people and that confident feeling is can sometimes feel like a rollercoaster, it can be high or low depending on situations.
Like our DNA, confidence has many different strands, it’s deeply underpinned by 3 things:
UPBRINGING – where our beliefs and values are created and held close to us
EXPERIENCES – where we learn, create memories and build our resilience
ENVIRONMENT – who we surround ourselves with, where we are, what we are doing
Whilst we can’t change our upbringing, we can alter our experiences and environment to impact our confidence levels.
With that in mind CONFIDENCE is something we outwardly display and inwardly feel, mostly driven by our thoughts which turn into actions.
For that confident display to take place, there are 3 more strands that build a stronger confident you.
COURAGE – you’ll need this to give things a go – to take action, to act as if
PRACTICE – if we want to be good at anything, we practice, pull up our big pants and do it
CONSISTENCY – being consistent is what makes a lasting change

When we work together I won’t be giving you any of the answers, you already have these. My role is to help you to see things differently so you find those answers you are looking for!
Our sessions will always be about you and your goals. The sessions will be driven by you and what you want to get from them.
My style of coaching is informal, I’ll point things out, I’ll repeat back to you what I’ve heard, I’ll listen and I’ll ask questions. It’s conversational.
I’m not all about models and theory, although I do believe they have their time & place.
I’m actions focused, I’m direct and there is no fluffy stuff involved and I’m a big believer in pulling up your big pants and getting it done!
Rather than tackling the problem at face value, we’ll dig deep to find the underlying thinking.
Working with me will be empowering and challenging and I’ll hold you accountable for taking action to make a positive change. After all, if I didn’t do that what would be the point?
Working 1:1 is all about you and what you want to achieve, your coaching experience will be totally unique to you.
To get the most from your coaching experience I would always recommend you have a minimum of 4 sessions. This will give you a great start, with time and space to think, take action and reflect on your progress.
